Hearing and vision screenings are part of developing a healthy beginning for your child. Most children receive comprehensive hearing and vision screenings at birth and then at approximately three months old, between one and two years old, and then less frequently after that. Routine screening helps detect any issues that can cause learning or developmental delays.

These routine screenings do not take long, and we perform them in the office. We evaluate your child’s hearing and vision by having them listen to sounds and watch images. We also perform visual eye exams that help detect potential eye disorders.
It’s important for your child to have comprehensive hearing and vision screenings shortly after birth. These screenings will help detect any potential issues with hearing and sight. Routine well-child visits also include these screenings. If you notice your child has a hearing or vision issue, let us know, and we will provide additional screenings for them.
